Our company has background in such projects as aluminum-framed storefront entrances, doors, windows, curtainwalls, shower doors, mirrors, frameless glass systems, railing systems, door hardware, automatic doors/windows, etc.
We have experience working on projects from commercial, to private, to mixed-use residential; which were inclusive of major schools, hospitals, universities, apartment buildings, multi-story projects, and other miscellaneous high-rise buildings throughout San Diego County.
These projects included but were not limited to specialty requirements such as PLA/PSA, City Review, OSHPD, BIM, LEED, OCIP/UCIP/CIP/CCIP. Please refer to the attached lists of completed projects, and current projects in progress.
Long Glazing & it’s team members throughout their years of experience in the glazing industry, have worked on multiple projects throughout San Diego County; alongside or working under major General Contractors/Construction Managers such as; Balfour Beatty Construction, Turner Construction, McCarthy Building Group, Level 10 Construction, in addition to many others. The founder of LGD; James Long, has been in the glazing industry for over 15 years. James previously worked for Centex Glazing; a large commercial glass company, which specializes in public works projects, specialty glass railing systems, and high-end storefronts.
James has experience in conducting field foreman activity and oversight for the following projects: Grossmont Union High School District Office, High Tech Elementary School in San Marcos, Olympic Training Center Archery Building, and the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Vista.
Additionally, James obtained a degree in Construction Management from Southwestern College in 2009. James’ father, Jim Long, had been Vice President at Centex Glazing since the company’s’ establishment in 2000, until he retired in 2014. Additionally, Jim has 50+ years’ experience working in the commercial glazing industry.
James’ mother, Sherry Long, has worked as Project Manager and Project Estimator for 30 years. Sherry has worked for Vision Systems Glazing Company in the years past. She completed administration for some of the largest high-rise buildings in San Diego, including the Miramar Pyramid in Miramar, San Diego and the San Diego Convention Center.
